Charlotte, NC - The world's tallest and fastest giga coaster is now open at Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fury 325 stands 325 feet tall and reaches speeds of up to 95 mph, making it the tallest, fastest, and longest giga coaster in North America.

 

The coaster is a steel roller coaster manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard. It features a 6,602-foot-long track that crosses both North and South Carolina state lines. Riders experience a variety of high-speed thrills, including an 81-degree drop, a 190-foot tall barrel turn, and a 91-degree overbanked horseshoe turn.

 

Fury 325 is the latest in a long line of record-breaking roller coasters at Carowinds. The park is home to several other world-class coasters, including The Intimidator, which is the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in North America.
